CalClaw consumer health data privacy policy

Consumer health data we collect
- Profile. CalClaw collects your age, height, weight, and sex.
- Apple Health data. CalClaw asks for read access to four Apple Health types: height, weight (body mass), date of birth, and biological sex.
- Nutrition log. CalClaw stores the foods you log, with their calories, nutrients, and portions, and your daily totals, goals, and targets.
- Meal messages. CalClaw stores the text you type or dictate in the chat, and the AI's replies. A message can include anything you write, such as a health condition or a medicine you take.
- Meal photos. CalClaw stores the meal and nutrition label photos you send.
- Saved memory. The AI saves short notes about your food habits and writes a short summary of each day.
Where it comes from
- You. You enter your profile and foods, type or dictate messages, and send photos.
- Apple Health. CalClaw reads Apple Health when you tap Import.
- CalClaw and its AI providers. CalClaw calculates your targets from your profile. AI models estimate calories and nutrients from your messages and photos, and write your saved memory.
How we use it
We use consumer health data to:
- log your foods and estimate calories and nutrients from your messages and photos
- calculate and show your daily targets from your profile
- remember your food habits
- export or delete your data
- keep CalClaw working, and find and fix errors
- answer your support requests
Consumer health data we share, and who receives it
We share consumer health data only with the companies and kinds of providers below, and only so they can run part of CalClaw for us.

Photos are not sent, but what the AI read from them is. The provider deletes the full text within about two months of when it was sent. Your rights and how to use them
You have the right to:
- confirm whether we collect, share, or sell your consumer health data, and get a copy of it with a list of every company we shared or sold it to and an email address or online form for each
- withdraw your consent to our collection and sharing of your consumer health data
- have your consumer health data deleted
To use any of these rights, email support@calclaw.app, or use the steps below in the app.
Get a copy of your data
Open the You tab and tap Export CalClaw Data. The export does not include photos or the list of companies. For those, email support@calclaw.app.
Withdraw your consent
Open the You tab. Under AI processing, tap Permission and data sharing, then tap Withdraw permission. To stop sharing chats with our analytics provider, turn off Share my chats on the same screen.
Delete your data
Open the You tab, tap Delete my account, and tap Delete account to confirm. Stay signed in and keep CalClaw open until it shows Account deleted.
Appeal a decision
If we decline your request, you can appeal by emailing support@calclaw.app.
